Attracting talent

Posted by Charlie Johnston

Since the Brexit vote we have sought to determine what the impact will be for our clients. The response seems to be very varied and broad ranging. For those who operate predominantly outwith the EU, there is little concern. However for others, the 2 key concerns are access to European Markets and the ability to attract talent.

At the recent G20, Japan made it very clear that they wanted their companies who are based in the UK to still ideally have that access. How the discussion play out remains to be seen, however companies should be able to attract the right talent from as broad as pool as possible. Immigration is a very emmotive issue but equally UK companies need to remain competitive and people will still continue to be the heartbeat of these businesses. Hopefully post Brexit we will still be able to source people for our clients from as wide a pool as possible.
