Europe - freedom of movement

Posted by Charlie Johnston

There is much debate on the newswires at the moment about the desire for the new Tory Govt and their majority to seek a renegotiation of its relationship with the rest of Europe. Core to that argument is the need to, in some way, restrict the movement of economic migrants. In our world the ability to have somebody working in France one week and be offered a job in London without having to otain a visa means, that the right talent can be attracted to working in the UK at a senior level.

Whilst wishing to remain apolitical on this subject, ambitious people we will move roles for the right reasons and we hope to be able facilitate that on our client's behalf. It will be interesting to see how this debate and the UK government's stance on it develops throughout the course of this parliament.
